Denim tunic top: Buffalo Exchange, Vintage citrus skirt: The Vutique, Wedges: Plato’s Closet, Handbag: TJMaxx
Who wore the denim and citrus look best, moi or the style maverick herself, Shala Monroque? Ok, Ms Monroque (future BBS Muse) may have worn the look a tad bit better, but the inspiration for my look originally manifested in her so she had a responsibility to get it right! She has the right to remain stylish, me on the other hand, I’m still a muse in the making, so cut a sister some slack.
Anywho, this is a simple look to put together with the right pieces. Do you have a light weight chambray or denim top? What about a kool-aid colored skirt? Yes and yes, then you have the look – effortless, chic and cheap, a few of my favorite things. This look incorporates the current color trend but is still so imaginative and simple. It’s a great look for day or night. If you’re sporting it when the sun goes down be bold and pop open a button or two like Monroque did, subtly sex appeal is all she wrote.
Vs of the Day - Psalm 23:2
"He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake..."
