Howdy everyone.  Seattle has finally been graced with uninterrupted sun, and I ain’t mad at it!  Although Seattle gets its share of tragic weather, when we do get sun, we get the best kind.  It’ll hit up to the mid 70’s or 80’s (which is warm over here, for those of you looking at those numbers thinking that’s nothing), and there will be a cool breeze blowing through, calm enough to cool you off.  The best part is that the sun doesn’t set till around 9pm, so everyone’s outside, late in the evening, grazing through the streets – I love it.

I, of course, took the opportunity to visit the beach with friends.  I was going for comfort, and what’s more comfortable than linen?  Light weight, airy and chic, all the components I was looking for.  Linen is a great fabric for summer, although it is prone to wrinkle, (and wrinkle it will) it makes for an effortless look, and because it has a relaxed fit it can ultimately flatter multiple sizes.  I paired my trousers with a nautical inspired flouncy crop top.  These particular linen pants fit higher on the waist as opposed to the popular low rise linen pant, which are just as fabulous, but crop tops usually compliment a high waisted pant better than a low rise cut.

You can build your luxe linen look with a simple tank or tee, throw on a blazer to sharpen it up.  If you’re trying to keep it casual opt for flat sandals or kitten wedges.

Alright ladies - and any gentleman, you know what time it is, time to work it out!  Have a fantastic Friday. xox

Vs of the Day - Hebrews 11:8
"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.  By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country..."
