Young Female Entrepreneurs Seattle

Are you a young female entrepreneur? Have you heard about the Young Female Entrepreneurs (YFE) group?  Well you should! It’s an online group connecting entrepreneurial women in their 20s and 30s, like yourself, with other people and brands in an effort to grow and optimize your business!

The website hosts a live pod cast show every week featuring some of the top online entrepreneurs in the game right now. Some weeks ago I watched their live show featuring social media strategist, Derek Halpern of Social Triggers. This guys online marketing skills are so good they’re basically on steroids! Then there's interviews with up and coming start-up contortionists of sorts like Wikisway, a company basically combining Wikipedia and Google Maps together to create a unique, visual user experience. In short I'm subliminally advising that you check out there website if you’re looking to educate yourself on what other talented online entrepreneurs are doing, how they’re doing it, and how it can benefit you!

YFE recently hosted an event in Seattle at the beautiful EM Fine Arts recreation studio space on Dexter ave. It's the event I wore my coveted Margiela pants to seen in the What to Wear to a Networking Event feature. The speakers included experimental marketing specialist and all around cool girl, Cori Ready, and Women in Innovation Founder and curiosity developer, Kristiina Hiukka. Both women are trail blazers in the creative field here in Seattle, and it was a pleasure eating up the knowledge and know-how that fell from their lips that night. Each brought up some interesting questions that us entrepreneurs tend to throw to the waste side, like what is the purpose of what you’re looking to do, and what do you need to do to best develop and optimize that purpose? That struck a cord with me, because with my business I haven't focused so much on the overall goal as I have on the skills I don't  have to get there. But what good is what you do or don't have if you lack a solid vision of your business's intended purpose? Message! Kristiina Hiukka kept it simple by questioning the audience’s curiosity. Did we have one, because every true entrepreneur does? Another component that’s been nailed to my collection of misleading fears. So what did I take from these 2 wise women. Well, the first being don’t bitch about the don'ts, because there's always sufficient reasons to, and instead just do! Lastly, don't anticipate success, but enjoy exploring and monetizing your curiosities - they're worth there weight in gold.
