Viva La Vintage

Vintage Braxton Jeans: Red Light

So I recently indulged in some much needed retail therapy at one of my favorite vintage shops here in Seattle.  I wasn’t expecting to find the ultimate pair of 70’s dark wash highwaisted denim – although I had been on the look out – but I did, and these bad boys are incredible!  Vintage highwaisted Braxton denim jeans in mint condition.  I’m not sure if they’re new, but seeing that they’re in such good condition I would suppose so, they probably crawled out from under some vintage back stock rock or something, anywho, I ain’t mad it.  Although they aren’t flared, (boot cut) the fit is perfect, the denim impeccable and the price astronomically affordable, what more could a girl ask for.

Ok time to reveal the price point.  Wait for it, wait a little longer, $18 – BAM baby!  Now initially when I found them I ignored the price, and thought to myself that I loved them enough to splurge, but when I tried them on and finally glanced at the tag I was shouting Hallelujah right there in my dressing room!

Now for you vintage lovers, or those who are hoping to experiment with vintage, I advise you to scour each of the racks.  And to think I was planning to just browse through the dress racks.  When shopping vintage you never know when that “it” piece will pop out at you, and you don’t want to make the mistake of lazily grazing through and missing what you had been hoping to find but perhaps just didn’t know it yet.  Unlike department stores where I’m convinced you should go there on a mission with pieces in mind, with vintage it’s ok to hunt, that’s what they’re there for.

Enjoy your Wednesday, xox.
