Pret-a’-Porter – French for Ready-to-Wear

So we’ve been having beautiful weather here in Seattle and with that comes linen pants and sandals, well not exactly, but light clothing, for lack of a better term.  I’ve put together a simple spring and summer Ready to Wear ensemble that can take you from day to night easily.

White is one of this seasons must have colors, so why not layer it up!  For a laid back feel I paired a casual white top with silk paneling with a relaxed fit white short.  I added a nautical striped blazer to strengthen the look and to keep warm when the weather turns chilly.  I topped the ensemble off with a pair of sling back sandals in fuchsia for my own color blocking rendition.

Feel free to try this at home.  You can change the look around a bit to make it your own.  Switch the shorts with a pair of white Bermudas and opt for a relaxed tank instead of tee.  Keep your heels neutral and try a bright colored bag instead, or do a vibrant bag and heel.  Your options are limitless, it just requires playing around in your wardrobe a bit, which really is no sweat off your back I’m sure!  Have fun and keep me posted on what you come up with.  Happy Friday xox.

By the way, I discovered this beautiful tulip growing in my back yard amongst all the shrubbery.  I’ve never planted any tulips so I take it must be a gift from our heavenly father and a great introduction for the season to come.
